About Taco University

Taco University is a new learning resource for commercial hydronic engineers, system designers, facility managers and building owners - anyone with a stake in the development and operation of comfortable, efficient, cost-effective hydronic systems. We offer two ways to learn.

Online Learning

Taco University on-line courses are multi-lesson courses that you can complete at your own pace and schedule anywhere there's a computer and web connection. These courses generally include lesson quizzes and a final exam, with successful participants receiving a certificate of completion. Courses are in development now and will begin to become available this spring. You can see a sample of our on-line learning at the top of the page.
Live and Online Learning
Taco U live learning events are intensive one-day programs presented to small groups in Taco's state of the art Innovation and Development Center in Cranston, RI. Attendees can earn up to 4 PDH's for each single-day course.
Sample e-Learning
Check out a sample lesson, "Intro To Controls." It's a good exampple of what's in store for you online at Taco University. As the year progresses, we'll be adding lots more content!
e-Smart® systems
Balancing system design with efficiency and comfort requirements is where e-smart comes in. We use the e-Smart tag to help you identify our products and systems that save money, materials, and energy. This video explains it all.
System design software
The FREE Taco Design Suite is everything you need to design and specify systems in hours instead of days or weeks. You will need to register to qualify for the download.
Project Builder App Saves Time
Enter Head and Flow and you're off and running with our new web based Project Builder app. Select and compare pumps, heat exchangers, tanks, and more. PB automatically generates schedules and all related documentation. Save the info as a project for later editing. No download necessary.
DIY Balancing
With our new variable speed Self-Sensing pumps, the balancing contractor takes a back seat. And with iWorX® ProView and OneTouch® balancing, this is a technology you can't ignore. The future of web-enabled efficiency management is here.
White Paper
Hydronic Systems Provide Better Energy Efficiency by Greg Cuniff, Taco Applications Engineering Manager. There are three basic ways to move BTU's around a building. One of them stands out from the crowd.
